Third-party Web Host’s fees are pooled and included in our service plans. Rates do not include multiple Web sites or additional options. All services are billed semi-annually in advance, prorated to the end of the next calendar half-year.

Choosing the Right Host

If you subscribe to a Web hosting management plan with Line49, we will place you with a great Web host that has a phenomenal standard of customer service. That might not seem important when everything is running smoothly, but in Web hosting things actually change often behind the scenes and the secret to running smoothly is solving problems quickly on a regular basis. Because we’ve worked in Web hosting ourselves, we know what a difference a responsive group of people can make. Keep in mind that cheapest is not best for this purpose, and don’t just pick a company by their TV commercials.

Private Server Hosting

For most projects, we recommend a more advanced type of hosting than most people use. It’s called Virtual Private Server (VPS), and the advantage is that you are one of a very few using the server rather than one of thousands crammed in. VPS hosting offers better performance, more control, and more security than standard hosting.

Your Service Plan Subscription Options

All of our prepaid service plans are optional. If you have a Web site created by Line49, but choose not to subscribe to these plans, we can still provide you with support services whenever needed, on an On-Demand hourly billing basis.

Prefer to keep your current Web host, or handle the hosting yourself? Just ask, and we’ll provide you with our recommended minimum hosting requirements.

Note that Line49 cannot take responsibility for the performance of your Web presence or the security of your CMS-based web site unless you subscribe to a prepaid maintenance plan using our Web hosting management services.

Service Plan Terms of Service

Although Line49 may manage your website and arrange Web hosting for you, and charge you for that service, you should be aware that we do not take responsibility for damages incurred by website software, Web hosting, or Email failures. We simply assist you in managing your technical assets, and interface on your behalf with third-party Internet service providers. By subscribing to this service, you agree to the following terms.

LINE49 DESIGN GROUP INC. (“LINE49”) UNDERTAKES TO ACT AS YOUR AGENT IN ORDER TO PROCURE AND MANAGE WEB HOSTING SERVICES FOR YOU. LINE49 IS NOT AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOST BUSINESS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER DUE TO WEB HOSTING SERVICE FAILURES OR OTHER TECHNICAL PROBLEMS BEYOND LINE49’S CONTROL. YOUR ONLY RECOURSE AS AGAINST LINE49 SHALL BE IN THE EVENT OF A SINGLE SERVICE INTERRUPTION OF DURATION GREATER THAN 1% OF ONE MONTH, IN WHICH CASE YOU MAY CLAIM A REFUND OF YOUR PORTION OF THE SHARED THIRD-PARTY WEB HOST’S FEES FOR ONE CALENDAR MONTH. ONLY ONE SUCH REFUND MAY BE CLAIMED PER CALENDAR MONTH. BY CONTINUING TO USE SUCH SERVICES YOU SHALL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS OF SERVICE AND SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. YOUR PAYMENT OF OUR INVOICE WITHOUT DISPUTING SUCH TERMS OF SERVICE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL BE CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE OF SUCH CONTINUATION AND ACCEPTANCE.
